I’m a spy in the house of love

Writing poems in a language I just learned

Come and go without a trace

Blood on my hands but not my face

I’M A SPY IN THE HOUSE OF LOVE

Whispered lies in the house of love

Twisted poems in a language I forgot

Every night a new disguise

Even the walls have prying eyes

When you’re a SPY IN THE HOUSE OF LOVE

But you could make me lose my way

Follow what my heart stopped saying

Come inside and lock the door

Remind me who I was before

Touch my hand beneath the glove

I’M A SPY IN THE HOUSE OF LOVE

No goodbyes in the house of love

Only poems in a language all my own

No one sees the mask I wear

No one hears my gasp for air

I’M A SPY IN THE HOUSE OF LOVE

You and I don’t play those games

We can speak our hidden names, gladly

I’ll spill my secrets if I must

You’re the only thing I trust

Touch my hand beneath the glove

I’M A SPY IN THE HOUSE OF LOVE
